On our way home, we stopped in to

visit the happy animals at the

LA Zoo, or la Zoo, as Mia calls it.

Viviana is seeing what it's like to be a Meerkat.


This was one big aggressive goat!
When she was putting the food away
he kicked her in the head!

The chimps kept us entertained by
chasing a bird...a bird they will never catch and
the bird knows it....but it was funny.

This is a Pinecone Skink, they do not like their tails to be petted.

I almost learned the hard way!

This is Reggie, I remember this story

from a few years ago..he's lying

in the shade..he's hard to see but he's there.

Reggie is the alligator, believed to have

been raised in illegal captivity, who became feral and was

sighted for two extended periods at a public park in the

South Bay, Los Angeles area in 2005 and 2007. The

animal is now in captivity at Los Angeles Zoo.
